♦ Arbre d'Afrique (moracées). — Bois de cet arbre utilisé en construction navale, menuiserie et ameublement.

● iroko nom masculin Grand arbre de la forêt tropicale africaine, dont le bois, brun-jaune à brun sombre, à grain plutôt grossier, léger à mi-lourd, se travaille facilement (charpente, parquets, construction navale).
